Mechanics Unit 1: Intro to the modeling classroom
In the first unit, students are introduced to the practices and procedures of the class:
- creating a lab
- conducting the lab
- analyzing their data
- sharing their data with the class (in a whiteboard meeting)
- discussing the data, focusing on looking for similarities, then differences (in the whiteboard meeting
- developing class-wide conclusions, and modifying individual/group conclusions
