Mechanics Unit 1: Intro to the modeling classroom – Science Teaching tips from Lee Trampleasure

In the first unit, students are introduced to the practices and procedures of the class:

creating a lab
conducting the lab
analyzing their data
sharing their data with the class (in a whiteboard meeting)
discussing the data, focusing on looking for similarities, then differences (in the whiteboard meeting
developing class-wide conclusions, and modifying individual/group conclusions
